WHO WE ARE

ZURLO™ is a family owned company committed to bringing the love of traditional handcrafted Italian Artisan Focaccia to Australian families. Using traditional recipes and authentic, high quality ingredients our range includes traditional Focaccia loaves for sharing, as well as unique single serve Focaccia muffins for a convenient individual Focaccia experience.

Our philosophy at ZURLO™ Focaccia Is “Bringing People around the Table” to share and enjoy good food, conversation and each other’s company. Made with love in Australia using our Italian heritage, ZURLO™ Focaccia is the way Italian artisan focaccia is truly meant to be experienced.

OUR STORY

ZURLO™ was born out of a love for family, a love for friends and a love for sharing and connecting with each other through good conversation over delicious food.

ZURLO™ was founded by Paul Zurlo, born in Sydney to Angelo & Dorina, Italian immigrants from the small village of Bitritto, situated close to the coast of Bari in the Italian region of Puglia. When Angelo & Dorina first arrived in Australia in the early 1950’s they brought their love for traditional Italian Artisan Focaccia with them. Their Focaccia was part of family lunchtime and dinnertime occasions.

Paul gained his love for baking and appreciation for good, delicious home Baked Focaccia from his mother, Dorina Zurlo who often shared tips and advice to Paul over the kitchen table.

FOCACCIA

Our ZURLO™ Focaccia range is freshly parbaked and conveniently snapped frozen, ready for you to finish off in the oven for that delicious, freshly baked Focaccia experience. Our Focaccia loaves are highly versatile and can be eaten as is, or cut into larger pieces and sliced horizontally and filled with delicious fillings for a Focaccia Panini.

Our ZURLO™ Focaccia Muffins are a unique way to enjoy single serve Focaccia. Our Focaccia muffins are ideal for making on-the-go-snack, filled with your favourite ham, prosciutto or provolone cheese. Available in a pack of four, they are also freshly par-baked and snapped frozen.

We believe in creating the best quality products, free from any artificial flavours, colours, preservatives & additives, inspired by traditional methods and recipes, passed down to Paul Zurlo from his mother and generations of Italian Nonna’s.
